Child Advocate/Adult Advocate On-Call Relief, 2007 to present
Women in Safe Homes, Ketchikan, Alaska
Provided support for youth living with domestic violence or sexual assault experiences, and education for youth and parents regarding DV/SA both in house and around various schools in the community. Researched and assimilated various support and parenting methods dealing specifically with DV/SA situations to enhance healthy family practices within Ketchikan and surrounding areas.

AmeriCorps*VISTA Volunteer, 2006 to 2007
Ketchikan Youth Initiatives, Ketchikan, Alaska
Directed the Ketchikan Community Building Initiative in the organization and creation of a web and print based community services directory, with the goal of refining community service programs and their ability to meet community needs. Organized and maintained records and date books for the Creekside Meeting Center. During the summer I oversaw the duties of our youth workers from the Regional Youth Center while simultaneously managing the above-mentioned projects.

With this project I directed a team of Publishing, Information Technology, and Design students, while balancing multiple priorities based on our client’s deadlines and adhering to a tight two semester deadline.
